As you journey through scenic Himalayan landscapes and lush valleys, you'll be treated to the sight of captivating tea gardens. Upon arrival in Gangtok, settle into a charming local homestay or hotel. In the evening you could explore the colorful and vibrant MG road and have a delicious dinner at one of the many local restaurants here. We wind up the day with a detailed briefing for the tour.

Start your day with an exploration of the Rumtek Monastery, situated 24 km from Gangtok. As the largest and one of the most significant Buddhist sites in Sikkim, it's an essential visit. Next, pay your respects at the Do Drul Chorten Stupa, a renowned pilgrimage site for Buddhists, bustling with spiritual energy. After a nourishing lunch, head over to the beautiful Enchey Monastery, nestled just 2 km away from Gangtok. Known for its tranquil ambiance, it offers a peaceful retreat. For a captivating view of the city, take a picturesque cable car ride to Tashi Viewpoint. The vista of the city surrounded by towering mountains is truly breathtaking. As the day winds down, visit the Institute of Tibetology. The only one of its kind globally, it hosts an unparalleled collection of Mahayana Buddhism books. Besides, it boasts an impressive assemblage of ancient manuscripts, Tibetan paintings, statues, and icons. We also pay a visit to the local Handicraft Centre, offering a glimpse into the making of Sikkimese crafts. A leisurely stroll around Gangtok's vibrant marketplace follows, before returning to your hotel, ending the day on a high note.

Embrace the thrill of adventure with a hike to Changu Lake on day three. Start by exploring the Nathula Pass, a majestic high mountain pass straddling the India-China border, 54 km from Gangtok. We continue with a visit to the glacial Tsomgo Lake, 40 km from Gangtok. On your return, pay tribute at the Baba Harbhajan Singh Memorial Temple, a site honoring a legendary Indian army soldier. End the day with a leisurely stroll through Gangtok's bustling local market, the perfect place to pick up trip souvenirs and mementos.

Day four introduces you to the splendors of Pelling, a picturesque town renowned for its stunning beauty and historical richness, located 120 km from Gangtok. Explore the Pemayangtse Monastery, one of Sikkim's oldest and most significant spiritual sites, and the historic Rabdentse Ruins, former capital of the Sikkim Kingdom. Return to Gangtok by evening and round off the day with a delightful farewell dinner

Altitude Sickness

Altitude Mountain Sickness is an illness as an effect of high altitude resulting in a rapid change in air pressure (air gets thinner) and oxygen level (less oxygen to breathe).
